Summer exhibition at Kastellet in Vaxholm 2025 - Susanne Arvidsson

From midsummer to August, Kastellet in Vaxholm is filled with color, strength and warmth. An exhibition filled with feel-good art with a mix of painting, sculpture, glass, textiles, ceramics and more.

Participating artists are me, Lena Linderholm , Malin Leijonberg , Birgitta Glennmark , Barbro Augustin , Kajsa Dahl and Jenny Eneroth .

I had never been to Vaxholm and Kastellet before, but what a magical place! Is there any gallery that beats this?

I will be on site between June 28th and July 6th so you can meet me, ask questions, watch me paint and also participate in a workshop if you visit during the weekend of week 27. I will also be on site on the weekends at the end of August.

At the workshop you will try painting with dry pastels and learn simple techniques to make flowers look more alive and try the jumble technique that means you will never have to stand with a white canvas and get performance anxiety again.

And for those of you who would rather paint flowers – I'll show you how you can create your own floral dreams with simple strokes and dry pastels, once you've first understood the basics of the technique.

You can book either July 5 or 6 at 10:00-12:00 for this workshop which takes place at Kastellet in Vaxholm.
