What is art?

It can also, in a narrower sense, be synonymous with visual arts, with or without architecture and crafts.

Why art?

Art creates sensual experiences and richer shared spaces.

It can contribute to new perspectives, innovative power and allowing more people to participate and influence their living environment.

In short, to a more sustainable society.

Who decides what is art?

There are no facts, no rules, no definite laws to lean on to determine right and wrong when it comes to works of art.

It's always about personal opinions and what the viewer, you yourself, sees in a work of art.

How are we influenced by art?

Our brain is then forced to think in new ways, which promotes creativity.

In other words, you can generally say that we become more creative by looking at and experiencing art.

Art also has a healing effect.

Among other things, the WHO report shows that art is an effective way to relieve sadness and anxiety.

For me, art is what gives meaning to my life.

I love looking at other people's art.

Likes to go to exhibitions.

And, in my own city of Örebro , OpenART returns and runs for a longer period during the summer months, and this is something I really appreciate.

What is art for children?

We heard Nina Bondesson's definition of the concept of art: "Artistic activity is a fundamental characteristic of human life. It is about language, about communication. About shaping life and the conditions of existence. 4 Nov. 2019

I myself contribute to giving art to children by working as an Art Teacher at Örebro Kulturskola , Kulturkvarteret.

I also work with the Creative School assignment, which is an assignment from the Swedish Arts Council.
